As of today it has been 5 years since we lost Sean's mom, and we still feel her presence missing in our lives. My biggest sorrow about losing her is that she didn't have a chance to know Kate, and Kate didn't have a chance to know her. We keep her memory alive with Kate by talking about her frequently, but it's still not the same. They would have been so close. She was so close to Alex, too, and I know he misses her dearly.
