Car repair post:

I'm horrible at remembering when or what has been repaired on the car, so I thought I'd blog it and then I could find it later. :)

The brake wear indicators started screeching about 2 weeks ago, when we braked. They quickly progressed to screeching non-stop, and then the sound completely stopped. I made the appt. at Dix to have them looked at, but they couldn't get it in until after my trip to Harrisburg. Needless to say I drove over 7 mountains VERY carefully.

Well - the brake pads were completely worn down, to the point where the wear indicators snapped off. The rotors also had to be resurfaced. With an oil change and inspection - $330. I guess I can't complain - it's better than a monthly car payment and the car does have 143,000 miles on it!
